Offline Servicing fails to install update with ErrorCode = 2095

I’d like to throw open this post into a discussion if possible. I’ve noticed that many people are experiencing issues updating their .wim files using Offline Servicing.

Particular updates fail to inject into the mounted wim with the error

Failed to install update with ID ******** on the image. ErrorCode = 2095

It seems that AV is to blame, but then other people have tested without AV and still encountered the issue.

Towards the end of the thread we are promised a potential hot fix to address the problem.  Hopefully this is forthcoming from MS.

So to throw open the discussion. Have experienced the problem? Did you resolve it? What did you do to resolve the problem?

I’d like to collate as many fixes as possible to help out others.

This issue has been resolved in the SCCM 2012 R2 release.
